I’M NOT JUST A WOMAN
International women month was a result of the organizing activities of women in the early 20th Century. In Philippines, national women’s month is a highlight where women’s achievement and discussion about women’s empowerment, gender equality issues, concerns and challenges, as well as commitments. The celebration concentrates on practical initiatives that are in line with laws and agreements at the local, national, and international levels, such as the Beijing Platform for Action, the Philippine Plan for Gender-Responsive Development (1995-2025), the Framework Plan for Women, and the Convention on the Elimination of All Forms of Discrimination Against Women. I believe that we should all be equal, whether you are a male, a female, or a member of LGBTQA+. We all have the equal rights to do everything that we like, to express what we feel and to become what we like to become.
