                                             National children's month celebration 2022





    The Department of Education (DepEd), through the Child Protection Unit opened the National children’s month celebration and discussed about bullying reduction and securing child well-being in schools on Wednesday. This celebration aims to give Filipino students a nice environment, healthcare, and good education. It promotes awareness and improving children’s welfare. This holiday also comes from a place of empathy. This month highlights the ways and support them.

    As a student I agreed on this celebration because it aims to give a student awareness of his/her surroundings. It improves children’s awareness and gives a student a good education, which every student wants. It gives unity to every student, gives better surroundings. It highlights the ways of how we support every child. 


   This celebration is to help children who experienced abuse, hardships and violence. Keep children safe and keep their environment healthy. Let's hear everyone's voice and spread awareness and let’s keep our environment healthy.

  In my first day of school I was feel nervous and at the same time happy because finally after two years that we are in our house doing modules and household chores here we again slowly going back to the normal.  Ecstatic feeling when I entered again in a classroom, wearing complete uniforms, encounter new classmates and friends, we already meet our subject teachers and our adviser. We introduced ourselves before we start the class. I belong to the Special Science class and it is very challenging to me. So many tasks, non-stop quizzes, and a lot more. Kannawidan Festival of Ilocos Sur

In the Province of Ilocos Sur, the Kannawidan celebration commemorates the division of the two provinces in 1818. Ilocos Sur uses it as a means of showcasing its cultures, traditions, and religious practices. It is the Ilocanos method of giving thanks to God for all of his blessings as well as for the rich heritage of the region, which includes their strong familial bonds. This event will feature a variety of thrilling activities and performances. The celebration gives Ilocano kids more focus. Its because the provinces younger generations do not understand Ilocano culture. But current dances are covered more in depth. It is customary for a mass to be celebrated at the St. Paul Metropolitan Cathedral during the festivals official opening. The patron saints of the 40 parishes and statues of Jesus Christ and the Virgin Mary are then carried in procession around Vigan City.   Semana Santa or Holy week is the yearly commemoration of Christ's Passion, an event referring to the week of Jesus' crucifixion (execution) and resurrection (rebirth) in the Bible. Palm Sunday heralds the start of Holy Week. Filipino families would typically attend church dressed in their Sunday finest and bearing palm leaves for blessing. Normally, palm leaves are offered outside the church; merchants will follow you down and sell you one before you enter the church. During the Holy Mass, they hoist their palaspas or palm fronds into the air with other churchgoers as the priest sprinkles them with holy water.   After the service, people take theirpalaspas home and pin or fasten them to their doors or windows, or they place them on the altar.Blessed palm leaves are supposed to eliminate negativity and bring good fortune into a home.
